Screenplay –
Very good story. It is a story of how a battle field in the east Pakistan (current liberated Bangladesh) was liberated/conquered. Story that shows a bond between the two brothers and a sister. It shows how the entire family served the nation exactly at a crucial time.
The story narrates how 1971 war started and how our brave soldiers fought. How did our tanks and soldiers show their distinct capabilities. Overall very good story.Cinematography –
Cinematography of the movie Pippa is good. It tried to show the intensive and violent acts by Pakistan. However, battle field could have been shown differently and like a real one. It seems like battle field is merely a vacant plot near any Indian village. Also, to explosions looks controlled and dramatic. They don’t look real. Last scene is merely in a studio it seems.
Acting –
Ishaan Khatri, a lead actor, acted well. He tried very nicely to show the war a real one. Mrunal Thakur also acted like a pro and established her character feel real. Overall, everyone gave justice to their own roles.
Overall Rating –
The Movie is good. Some very nice things about movie is that they established 1971 era very well. ‘Mai Parwana tera naam batana’, this song is fantastic and its choreography is also nice and suits to old era. The job of secret intelligence service, tanks, story are key points to highlight.
If you want to know why the movie name is Pippa, then do watch the movie. Pippa is the perfect name for the movie and gives all the justice to it.
