Anyone who tests the taste of power, will always cherish it, admire it, love it and will also want it. One get a highest respect from its peers and that’s intoxicating thing. However, most of the leaders try to be calm and try not to show the leadership status but a time comes where they also do not have option but to show the power. Power is coward. Power is afraid of Losing

Afraid of losing the control

One may not believe that the power is also coward. What non sense is it? But yes, it is right. Person having power will always be afraid of losing the power and he tries to play politics at such level to protect his interest of being in power. Example is, North Korean (NK) leader, Kim-Jon-Un. He is so worried of his power that he killed his own siblings and some relatives by giving such shocking ways of deaths that we all may not even imagine. He has controlled everything in NK. Why in USA there is law to control but the people’s fundamental rights of independence. Why there is no communism? Answer is simple. In USA they have nationwide assembly elections every 5 years. One president can be only on the chair for 10-year max. So, once a candidate wins, he has no fear of losing power for another at least 5 years. Once person gets elected again, he still can stay for more 5 years. After which he individually does not have fear of losing, while his party may have that fear still.

Now here in NK, if same situation like in US takes place; Kim-Jon has the fear of losing the power.  Propaganda plays important role to be in power, to show that side of coin which one wants to show and hides another side.

Afraid of being assassinated.

If we take same example Kim-Jon-Un above, and imagine if there are unbiased democratic elections definitely, he will lose the elections. The new president will first hang the former royal family member Kim-Jon-Un. He will also end Royal family influence over countries politics. He may also try to open the economy and let different countries to enter and trade in NK leading to financial stability and bringing the NK in the flow where the world is.

Exactly here, Kim is afraid of. He doesn’t want to open the economy because he has lot of enemies like South Korea, Japan (neighboring countries) and USA whose presence is in the Chinese Ocean. As soon as country is opened either president himself or these big players will assassinate Kim-Jon-Un using their intelligence agencies.

In short, to hold control over country, developments, finances, relations with other countries; every country will have to play propaganda in politics.

The Power of Perception

At its core, propaganda operates as a catalyst for shaping perceptions. In a world inundated with information, the ability to control the narrative becomes paramount. Governments leverage propaganda to construct a favourable image, justify policies, and garner support both domestically and on the global stage. The power of perception extends beyond borders, influencing how nations are perceived by the international community.

Unifying Nations

Propaganda serves as a unifying force, fostering a shared identity and common beliefs among citizens. During times of crisis, governments employ propaganda to rally the populace around a common cause, instilling a sense of unity and patriotism.

Mobilizing Support

Political leaders use propaganda to mobilize support for their agendas. By crafting compelling narratives, they can garner public backing for policies, diplomatic initiatives, or even military interventions. Propaganda transforms public sentiment into a potent force that can sway political decisions.

Justifying Actions

Propaganda plays a pivotal role in justifying a nation’s actions on the global stage. Whether entering into conflicts, forming alliances, or implementing controversial policies, governments utilize propaganda to frame these actions in a light that aligns with their interests and values.

While playing the politics or propaganda in politics, if end result is good, then it is ok to play it. Good results may not be suitable for a group of people or community but it will be good for major community of people and it will be legal as well.

Example could be, showing news where two different religions celebrating the festival. This will create emotional touch points and convey message how they are united. Even if there are fights between two groups, playing such propaganda may help calm down the disputes for at least certain amount of time.

allocation of piece of land to a community to build holy place where they can gather and pray. You can use this work as political agenda.

Conclusion

The role of propaganda in global politics is both intricate and profound. As a tool of influence, it shapes narratives, moulds public opinion, and steers the course of international affairs. Understanding the significance of propaganda is crucial for citizens to navigate the complex information landscape with discernment. In a world where perception often shapes reality, the impact of propaganda transcends borders, leaving an indelible mark on the collective consciousness of societies worldwide. As we continue to grapple with the complexities of global politics, the study of propaganda remains integral to deciphering the forces that shape our understanding of the world.
