Operation Sindoor: A War Temporarily Paused, Not Stopped

“Take Very good care of your finances. Your Finances are your responsibilities. We can only suggest and guide in your way. Be serious about your finances. Foreign economies are ‘spending’ economies; but Indian economy is ‘saving’ economy”

History often reminds us that arrogance, when fueled by misplaced false pride and false denial, leads nations down the paths of self-destruction. Pakistan is a stark example in this regard. For decades, it has allowed terrorism to take root in its soil. It nurtured groups with violent ideologies and used them as instruments of state policy against India.

The irony is that the Pakistan declares itself on global platforms like the UN, IMF, World Bank, or SAARC that it is “a victim of terrorism”. It sounds less like truth and more like a thief standing in court claiming ignorance of theft.

The world knows Pakistan has harbored, funded, and exported terror for decades. Its victimhood narrative is nothing more than an attempt to escape accountability.

Every time these very choices have backfired Pakistan. It left on Pakistan politically isolated, economically tumbled, vulnerable to its own defense, and morally questioned.

Please read my blogs on this topic to understand how and why terrorism cannot exist without the support of governments and locals.

Moreover, while the operation Sindoor went on, India exposed that Pakistani military officials were standing together with terrorists for the funerals of the family members of the terrorists and other killed terrorists. That means they don’t just support terrorists, but they are terrorists.

Operation Sindoor, India’s latest response to terrorism, is a continuation of this long struggle—a war temporarily paused, not concluded.

Operation Sindoor

The Recent Pahalgam Attack

  1. The latest flashpoint was the Pahalgam attack, where terrorists targeted innocent tourists in the Baisaran Valley, famous for its scenic beauty. India proved that these terrorists were from Pakistan. The local Kashmiris helped them to stay and plan the attack.
  2. The terrorists asked what the religion of the tourists was. If they were not Islamic, they would give them a headshot. Whoever said that they are following the Islamic religion, the terrorists asked them to read the religious chant ‘Kalma’. They still did not believe and asked them to take off their pants to see the circumcision. This Pahalgam incident was brutal, and the whole nation demanded justice.
  3. India hit nine terrorist targets inside Pakistan in response to this deadly terror attack. Pakistan started retaliation. It used Turkish drones, Chinese fighters, and air defense systems, Chinese-made arms, and ammunition, US-made F-16, etc. All failed, and Pakistan faced even a deadly attack by India.
  4. For the first time in history, the Indian government became offensive. It crossed the boundaries via air and launched ‘Operation Sindoor’.
  5. Sindoor is a red-orange powder that married ladies put on their foreheads. Generally, unmarried women and widows (unless remarried) do not put up that powder. Pakistani Terrorists wiped out that powder from the forehead of married women, which means they killed their husbands.
  6. The Indian government chose this name because Pakistani terrorists wiped the ‘Sindoor’ of the ladies. They have done so many times in the last 30 to 40 years. Enough is enough; there has to be justice and retaliation as well.
  7. Also, India selected two ladies, Lt Col Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Cdr. Vyomika Singh, to lead the operation. Ladies are a symbol of ‘Shakti’ (the power).
  8. Terrorist Masood Azhar’s family was blown away in a ‘Brahmos’ attack in this operation. Pakistani media showed news that an attack on terror camps tore their bodies into pieces. At least now, Pakistan may realize what it takes to lose loved ones and stop terrorism. However, the world doesn’t have any expectation from Pakistan since they know what Pakistan’s nature is.
  9. India targeted 23 different military targets, including airbases and army camps. Pakistan suffered heavy losses. It lost nearly 5 to 6 Chinese and American-made fighter jets, one transport aircraft, Nurkhan airbase, a nuclear facility, and a few other runways. After it detected the heavy loss of the atomic arsenal, it was China that ordered Pakistan to cease fire. Pakistani officials revealed the same in September 2025.
  10. The loss of lives in Pahalgam reopened wounds, fueled anger across the nation, and reminded Indians that the fight against terrorism is far from over.

Unlike earlier times, however, India’s response was swift and precise. Intelligence-based operations neutralized several militant hideouts. Cross-border communication channels buzzed with warnings to Pakistan, and the Indian Army pushed forward under Operation Sindoor—a symbol of resilience and sacrifice painted red by the blood of martyrs.

India’s Retaliation and Pakistan’s Losses

Every time Pakistan exports terror, it imports instability. India’s operations for justice not only inflict military damage but also erode Pakistan’s already fragile economy. Pakistanis have to divert billions of dollars to just restoring the military facilities. International investors run away from a nation associated with terrorism.

The soaring inflation, joblessness, low business activity, and IMF’s bailouts have led to widespread disappointment among ordinary citizens.

Yet, despite these losses, Pakistan clings to arrogance. Its leaders deliver fiery speeches that soothe its civilians with joy, untruthfully deny their role in terrorism, and propagate victimhood narratives at global forums. The irony remains: while accusing India of aggression, Pakistan bleeds internally due to the monsters and snakes it created.

India’s Measures to Crush Arrogance

India has gradually built a multi-layered strategy to counter Pakistan’s hostility:

  1. Diplomatic Isolation: From exposing Pakistan at the UN to blocking its attempts to portray Kashmir as an “international dispute,” India has steadily weakened Islamabad’s narrative.
  2. Military Responses: Surgical strikes and air raids deep inside Pakistan-occupied territory have shattered the illusion that India would always remain passive, as it was during 1990 to 2013.
  3. Economic Measures: Revoking Pakistan’s Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status, tightening trade, and lobbying against aid to Islamabad have added pressure.
  4. Counter-Radicalization: Within Kashmir, India has increased its efforts to cut off radical recruitment, empower local communities, and promote development. It also created job opportunities and infrastructure for foreign investments, which Pakistan would never have done if it had Kashmir with it.
  5. Abrogation of Article 370: India abrogated Article 370 and brought Kashmir to the mainstream of the nation. It opened the economy and gateways for businesses. Awarded monetary packages and promoted tourism. India also conducted elections after the abrogation of the article.
  6. Operation Sindoor: Please see the new heading below.
  7. End of the Indus Water Treaty:  India gave abeyance to the Indus Water Treaty. It is such a bold move India took, the first time in history since 1960 when the treaty was signed. Millions of lives in Pakistan are affected, but only Pakistan is responsible for that. Had it not supported terrorism, had the Pahalgam attack not happened, India may not have cancelled the treaty.
  8. Alliances: Strengthening connections with various parts of the world through bilateral or multilateral relations, economic forums, and other organizations’ platforms to ensure India is not isolated in this struggle.
  9. Exposing Pakistan: India is continuously exposing Pakistan on various platforms across the world.

Operation Sindoor paused, not stopped

India’s attitude has changed from defensive to offensive. The nation demands justice for every attack, misbehavior and threat.

While the war may seem paused under Operation Sindoor, the silence is tactical, not permanent. It was Pakistan who demanded a ceasefire, not India.

India knows that half-measures no longer suffice. The final step, when taken, would likely be a decisive dismantling of terror infrastructure across the border and within the country—a move not just to punish perpetrators but to end the cycle of nuclear blackmail once and for all.

Hopefully, massive destruction, heavy losses and damages would wake Pakistan up to stop terrorism. However, the entire of India believes that Pakistan will never improve. It will destroy itself, yet it will never understand.

Whether through covert missions, precision strikes, full-blown wars, or diplomatic maneuvers that corner Pakistan into irrelevance, India’s intent is becoming clearer: no compromise with terrorism, no tolerance for double standards.

Operation Sindoor is paused, not stopped.

The history of Pakistan is terrorism

Pakistan’s Long Romance with Terrorism, and the hunt down of Osama bin Laden, a mastermind behind the 9/11 terror attack in the USA

Pakistan came into existence in 1947 based on religious ideology. Since then, it has become the hub of radical groups. First, during the Afghan-Soviet war and later through its calculated strategy of “bleeding India through a million cuts.” Pakistan’s intelligence wing, the ISI sheltered organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen, trained and armed under the patronage of. Their missions were clear: destabilize Kashmir, spread fear in Indian cities, and weaken the democratic fabric of India.

The world realized (but doesn’t want to recognized) that Pakistan was not merely incompetent in controlling terrorists; it was complicit. Billions of dollars in aid had flowed into Islamabad for counterterrorism. But the very architect of the deadliest terror attack on American soil lived comfortably under its nose.

Two and a half Decades of Terror Attacks

The 1990 to 2014 era has seen India pay a heavy price for Pakistan’s reckless policies.

  • During the 1990 to 2014 era, Indians saw the mass killing of Kashmiri Pandits, forced conversion, forced takeover of properties, threats, and stone pelting all alone in the Kashmir region. Why, because it borders Pakistan and infiltration of terrorism, local support, and the government’s indifference or disinterest (perhaps government support?) helped all these attacks. Nearly 300,000 Kashmiri Pandits fled, and the entire demography of Kashmir changed. We can very clearly state that the impact of demographic change is so severe that the government of India (CENTRAL GOVERNMENT, not local government) traced that the locals were involved in the recent Pahalgam attack.
  • We can see what happened in Kashmir in the movie “The Kashmir Files”
  • 5 Pakistani terrorists hijacked Indian Airlines Flight IC814 and kept passengers as hostages, demanding the release of 5 terrorists from the Indian jail. India released 3; the other two were not with it. Masood Azhar is one of the terrorists released in this incident
  • 1993, 13 serial bomb blasts masterminded by Dawood and Yakub Memon. Now, Dawood is in safe Pakistani terrorists’ heaven. Whereas India sent Yakub Memon to his destination. Several others caught in this case are either convicted or acquitted due to a lack of proof
  • 2001 Parliament Attack: Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists infiltrated and attacked the Indian Parliament. This attack almost brought India and Pakistan to the verge of a war. Law convicted and hanged to death, the mastermind, ‘Afzal Guru’, for this offence. The wonder, not just many Indian civilians but many politicians as well, came to support the cowardly dog. Why can’t we call them sleeve snakes?
  • 2008 Mumbai Attacks: Ten Lashkar-e-Taiba gunmen wreaked havoc in India’s financial capital, killing over 170 innocents and shocking the world with live-streamed carnage. The 2008 Pakistani terrorists’ attack was at the heart of India.
  • 2016 Uri Attack: A deadly strike on an Indian Army camp killed 19 soldiers.
  • 2019 Pulwama Attack: A suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy, killing 40 jawans.

Each attack deepened scars but also hardened India’s resolve. Surgical strikes, the Balakot airstrike, and a more assertive counterterrorism doctrine showed that the patience of the past no longer bound India.

Conclusion

“Operation Sindoor” is not merely a military campaign; it reflects India’s patience, pain, and persistence. The war against terrorism is not just about defending borders—but it is about protecting the idea of India itself, where democracy, pluralism, and peace take precedence over hate.

For Pakistan, the pause in battle is an opportunity—an invitation to introspect and abandon its obsession with hostility. But history suggests that arrogance rarely allows wisdom to bloom. If Pakistan continues down the same road, India’s final step may not just pause the war—it may end it in a manner that rewrites South Asia’s, especially Pakistan’s destiny.
